Useful tips for Diwali

It is believed that Goddess Lakshmi brings wealth by following tips:

  • Always offer kheer (Indian delicacy made up of milk, rice, and dry fruits) along with mishri (crystallised sugar) on Diwali.
  • Shreefal or coconut is the favourite food item of goddess Lakshmi. Hence, always offer sweets made up of coconut on Diwali.
  • Further, make a swastik of Haldi on main doors. As per our ancient scriptures haldi (curcumin) is the purest spice included in our culture.
  • It is an age-old notion that when lots of black ants come to our home or they eat something in a group in a large group. Then it is a sign of arrival of Goddess Lakshmi at home.
  • Also offer water to the roots of peepal tree to delight maa Lakshmi.
  • According to the ancient text, lighting a diya in front of Tulsi plant makes goddess Lakshmi happy. Hence, it brings wealth and prosperity to the family.
  • And always place or install an image or idol of goddess Lakshmi in a sitting pose. As it brings stability into the home.
  • But, always Install an image or idol of goddess Lakshmi in a standing pose in office or workplace to bring wealth.
  • If possible try to install an image or idol of Maa Lakshmi with white owl in it. As per our older generations, owl of Maa Lakshmi keeps evils eye away.
  • Dakshiwarti Shankh (counch) is dear to maa Lakshmi. Always install on Diwali evening at temple or pujan place.
  • Lord Ganesha is vighan Harta So is his mouse. Moreover always bring idol of Lord Ganesha which is having mouse in it. Mouse eats away hurdles of our life.
