Introduction
Saphala Ekadashi, as name denotes is the Ekadashi to be followed to achieve success. Saphala is a Hindi word which means Prosperity. Not only success, it also bestow prosperity, wellness and wealth to the devotee.
Apparently, Vishnu lover can not dent the importance and need of Ekdashi vrat in his lifetime.
Date and titthi of Saphala Ekadashi
Further, Saphala Ekadashi falls on Krishna Paksha of Pausha mas of Hindu Panchang. We have Saphala Ekadashi on 7th January 2024. The titthi will start at 12:41AM on 7th January and will end at 12:46 AM on 8th January 2024.
Significance of Saphala Ekadashi
Our Sanatana Dharma is very rich and diverse practice of Upwas and Vrat. Ekadaashi is one of them. Ekadashi falls on 11th day of both the waxing( Shukla Paksha) and waning(Krishna Paksha) phases of moon each month. These are important consideration for determining It’s titthi.
However , Saphala Ekadashi is very dear to Lord Vishnu. Moreover it is also known as Pausha Krishna Ekadashi.
Therefore, Saphala Ekadashi is beneficial for those people who want to attain success in all aspects of life. Infact performing puja and fasting on this Ekadashi is considered an opportunity of opening the doors of abundance, success, prosperity and fortune.
To Do list on Saphala Ekadashi
Firstly, there are few rituals, one must follow on the day of Saphala Ekadashi. One must wake up in Brahama Muhurat.
Secondly, have your bathing rituals first in the morning.
Then after, one must recite the given mantra in front of Tulsi mata.
नमो नमस्ते तुलसी पापं हर हरिप्रिये
After reciting the mantra, one should light a diya with cow ghee in front of Holy basil. Never forget to circumambulate(parikarma) 21 times around the Tulsi. Indeed one must refrain from plucking tulsi leaves on Ekadashi.
Likewise, offer flowers, diya, chandan, akshat and fruits as bhog to Lord Vishnu.
Meanwhile, Vaishnavas find Bhajan and Kirtan of Shri Vishnu as lifeline. Uttering Vishnu Sahasranama and Vishnu Stotra makes your fasting more valuable and divine.
As a result, Ekadashi is one of the biggest day and lovable to Lord Vishnu.
Conclusion
Thus, we know how important the Saphala Ekadashi is for all the devotees for their spiritual growth. Do you know? By keeping fast on Ekadashi, you learn to control all your senses so effectively. Not only this, one also learn to be near to his beloved Hindu god Vishnu by reciting Vishnu nam.
